Go to the World!! Go into every place. This is a hymn by Sine Nomine. This hymn was perfect for the commissioning service that preceded this adventure this past Sunday. This song spoke to me as I prepared for this trip. As some may know, this was not my first rodeo! In fact, I’ve had the pleasure of traveling and working with this ministry for over the last decade, and each trip is special, unique and impactful.

As we got up at 1:45 this morning, for a 2:45 am pick up, I reflected on the meaning of those words…. each time the flight lands in Guatemala, the anticipation of reconnecting with friends is strong, and seeing Guatemala, through the eyes of the people who have never been here before is stunning.

I start to think about our purpose here in this Land of Eternal Spring. Another part of this song comes to my heart and mind: Go, struggle, bless and pray and go seek God’s presence in each time and space. I look forward to renewing our shared purpose with friends new and old in the days to come. Make sure to follow along!

Have a wonderful reunion with our Guatemalan friends!
Cathy, what a beautiful article you wrote to begin this journey!!! Praying this is a wonderful week for all the mission participants and that the reconnection with the Guatemalan people brings joy to them and to all of you. May God’s presence be with all of you.
We hope this is a week of joy for each of you. We know it will be a time of learning and sharing and giving.
Love, Greg and Camilla
